WALL DESIGNS

A typical design for a LOCK+LOAD "stone" wall in a gravity configuration is three or four "stones" in height (4- 5 ft.) stacked at a 1:10 batter. A wall of this type will usually not require professional design or need additional soil reinforcement.
When space is available, an offset between the tiers of LOCK+LOAD "Stones" provides planting areas for landscaping. Offsets may be equally distributed between tiers or added together to achieve a single larger landscape area.
Taller walls like the eight foot high LOCK+LOAD retaining wall system illustrated to the left require soil reinforcement. In this case a synthetic geogrid is placed behind tiers 2, 3, & 5 as the backfill material is placed and compacted.

LOCK+LOAD and other MSE retaining walls are typically designed and built in conformance with the Uniform Building Code and require a professionally engineered design specific to the wall site.

LOCK+LOAD "Stones" can also be used in marine environments to build attractive, durable "Sea Walls"With proper design consideration given to local hydrodynamics .
LOCK+LOAD wall designs can be completed by all geotechnical engineers most of whom are intimately familiar with design procedures for stabilized earth structures.

LOCK+LOAD provides large, easy to install, self supporting, "Stones" that can be used to build numerous attractive "Stone" structures and create beautiful landscape designs.
